If you notice changes when reading, working on screens, or seeing things in the distance, an eye exam will help you get things sorted out. It takes between 20 and 30 minutes.

After your eye exam, we’ll take our time to make recommendations
Once the exam is over, we’ll know exactly how your vision is. From there, the conversation shifts: we’ll no longer talk about how you see, but rather about what you need.

3. If you take your glasses home, we’ll be there for you afterward
Adjustments, maintenance, repairs, and any questions you may have later. Our service doesn’t end with your purchase.

Is the eye exam really free?
Yes. It is performed by a licensed optician or optometrist, takes between 20 and 30 minutes, and is free of charge.
How much does a prescription signed by an optician cost?
30€. This is a certified medical document that you only need if you plan to take it to another optician, submit it to an insurance company, or use it for any official paperwork. If you buy your glasses from us, you don’t need it. Once the eye exam is complete, we’ll give you your prescription verbally at no cost.
Who does the review?
A licensed optician-optometrist with a college degree. We are not ophthalmologists: if something comes up during the exam that requires an ophthalmologist’s expertise, we’ll let you know.
What does an eye exam include?
A comprehensive eye exam to determine your prescription, an assessment of your near and distance vision, and an examination using an autorefractor, phoropter, and/or slit lamp. We use all the optical equipment necessary for a professional eye exam.
How long does it take, and do I need to make an appointment?
Between 20 and 30 minutes. Yes, you need to make an appointment in advance so we can set aside time for you. You can book it online.
How often should I get a checkup?
The standard interval is every 1 to 2 years. If you notice any changes, discomfort, or headaches, or if you spend many hours in front of screens, it’s best to go sooner. Starting at age 40, presbyopia usually sets in, and your vision may change more quickly.
Do you offer eye exams for children and contact lens fittings?
Yes, we offer eye exams starting at age 5, as well as specific exams for contact lens fitting. If you're coming in for contact lenses, please mention this when you make your appointment so the optometrist can better prepare for your visit.
