What is the difference between occupational glasses and reading glasses?
Occupational glasses are used to focus on various distances. For example, if you are working in front of a desktop computer, you can focus your gaze on it and see the content of the screen perfectly. You can then lower your gaze and focus on a piece of paper, which, even if it is closer, you will also see perfectly.
Reading glasses , on the other hand, are only used for seeing at short distances . As their name suggests, you will have no problems reading a book with them. However, if you want to see the computer screen as in the previous example, you will have to get closer to the screen, again causing an incorrect posture of your spine.
Are occupational glasses like progressive glasses?
No, occupational glasses are not the same as progressive lenses and are not an alternative. Someone who suffers from presbyopia will probably have to use both: one for work and one for distance vision.
