From the day we started, we have tried to demonstrate what we believe is a fundamental aspect of making our glasses: craftsmanship. Our timeless designs call out for special attention because that's what we are aiming for through our craftsmanship.
An exceptional polished finish
To polish our frames, we first put them in wooden barrels
with small shavings of pumice stone, beech, and polishing
paste. Conventional frames usually spend between 8 and
10 hours in a barrel, whereas ours are there for 72 hours.
Spending more time polishing means we produce fewer
frames. But it signifies that those we make have an
exceptional shine.
Over the years it is normal for the frame to lose its shine due to wear and tear.
If you would like to recover it's initial shine, we offer polishing services in all our stores Hinges that last
Our metal components, like the hinges and screws, are made from high-quality German steel.
Standard hinges have only 2 holes, whereas ours have five to ensure they stay in place. We also use Teflon-coated anti-fall-out-screws.
We hope you'll come and visit us, but not because you keep needing us to tighten up the screws on your specs!
Always riveted
Our rivets are for real, not simply for decorative purposes. They are fitted by hand and go through the front of the frame as well as the inner core of the arms to hold the hinges and make the structure solid.
