Adjusting acetate and metal frames is a free service for all Miller & Marc customers
Signs that something's not right (and that you’ll have to come see us) You get dizzy when you wear them.. Sometimes, your pupil can become misaligned with the correct area of the lens if the lenses have not been adjusted correctly. This can cause a dizzy sensation, as if you were on a boat.
They slide down your nose.. You didn’t put your glasses there. You're certain. But you got distracted for a second and suddenly there they are. What on earth are my glass doing down there?
They're too tight. . Either behind the ears or, even worse, on your temples. Nobody can put up with that for more than two hours. It’s torture!
What can I do to adjust my glasses? If you have purchased your glasses from one of our optical stores, an optician will have looked after the adjustment of your frames. But we’re all human and we can make mistakes. In this case, don’t worry. You can always come back and we’ll resolve any little adjustment faults that are making life difficult.
If the misalignment is with your nose, you’ll have to focus on the nose pads. If you notice that your glasses are sitting too high, you'll have to separate them so that they can be lowered and, on the contrary, if they're falling too low you’ll have to bring them is closer, so they stay in place.
If the height on your nose is correct but you notice that they are tight or they fall, it means you have to adjust the glasses frame: either tighten or loosen the screws at the hinges that connect the temples, taking care not to break the frame.
You should only make small adjustments. If you think it’s necessary to adjust your glasses further, it’s better to visit an optical store to avoid making things worse at home. See stores
